How to book:
Thank you for being interested in the work that I do. I am excited to create not only a unique tattoo for you, but an unforgettable experience as the work that I do and my approach to it it is also unique. Most of my clientele have to travel long distances to me, so I have done my best to streamline the booking and planning aspects of my work to make sure that we can be economical and respectful of each other’s time.
The Process:
Please read through this info page to ensure that we both have all the information that we need to proceed with the consultation process. At the bottom of this page there is a consultation form to be filled out with all your information and from there, I will reply to you within a week or so to book your consultation.
Owing to the nature of my work and the amount of time that we will be spending together it is important that we are are good fit, artistically and on a personal level. I will reply to every request, although if I feel like your project is something that I am unable to take on at the time or outside of my expertise, I will do my best to refer you to another excellent tattooer who I think would be a good fit for you.
I do my consultations during the week and on weekends, and if you are local I can do them in person or if it is more convenient to you, online over zoom. Consultations are usually around an hour where we can discuss your idea, I can go over my policies and approach and we can get to know each other. After discussing your concept, costs, and timeline, I will ask for a non-refundable deposit to book all of your appointments. I require 72 hours to reschedule a single appointment and 5 days notice to reschedule appointment of 2 or more days as these spots are harder for me to fill. If insufficient notice is give, a new deposit will have to be left to keep your future appointments. Your deposit will come off of your last appointment. I take a minimum of $500 as a deposit for all tattoos, but you are welcome to set up a tattoo savings account with me as well.
Please speak to me directly about my hourly rate during your consultation, as I accept many different currencies based on which country you are from to account for the exchange rate and to minimize your costs to change money into Canadian dollars. I am happy to accept other currencies as we often travel and it saves us having to convert our own currency.
Getting tattooed by me:
If you are thinking about travelling to Canada to get tattooed by me, please contact me through my page or my Instagram account with any questions you might have. After your consultation, I will provide a basic travel plan from our local airports, ferries and float planes to get you to where we work. We can also provide shuttle service from certain terminals for a transportation fee.
I encourage my out of town clients to book multiple day sessions, as I find it to be the most efficient way to the most work done in a short time and economize on your travel expenses. I often start a multiple day session with a drawing/planning day where we will draw your tattoo directly on. I do not draw my tattoos ahead of time because each one is designed specifically for your body to ensure the perfect fit and flow. This ensures that you are part of the design process at every stage and any changes to the design can be done together. I then take a tracing of your tattoo and do a digital line-work drawing at home to stencil onto you the following day and we will begin tattooing. i find that most clients have no problem getting tattooed two days in a row and you may be surprised at how much easier the second day turns out to be. Depending on your travel situation, I offer up to 4 day sessions.
I am happy to give you a more detailed description of what to expect from each of your sessions once we have developed your idea more fully during your consultation.
I charge half of my tattoo rate for drawing and stenciling your tattoo on, and my full rate for tattoo time.
If you have any questions outside of a tattoo request or to book for guest spot or convention spot, you may email me at markus@lenhard.bio. Please reserve these inquiries to non-tattoo-specific requests, and otherwise use the form below.
